1 June 2026 – Cape Town Surfing Launches Board Review Series
Cape Town Surfing is excited to launch its new Board Review Series, designed to help surfers better understand surfboard design, performance, and equipment selection.
The series showcases the surfers we coach, the boards they ride, their dimensions and specifications, and real footage demonstrating how each board performs in a variety of conditions.
Our first review features Luca Aufrichtig riding the Smith Shapes Hooligan Model.
The goal is to provide practical insights that help surfers make more informed decisions when selecting their next surfboard. By comparing different surfers, body types, styles, conditions, and equipment setups, viewers gain a clearer understanding of what may work best for their own surfing.
Cape Town Surfing also offers complimentary surf coaching analysis and a coaching session with every custom board order. This allows us to help surfers select the most suitable dimensions, rocker profile, rail configuration, volume distribution, and overall design for their individual needs.
All board consultations and coaching assessments are conducted by Cape Town Surfing Director Liam Wood.
